The Program Coordinator is responsible for American Indian/Alaska Native (AI/AN) youth (9-19).

This position will begin with a planning and assessment period, followed by implementation of services.

All candidates are required to have

Ability to establish data systems, analyze data trends and create reports
Demonstrated experience working with youth ages 9 – 19
Background check clearance
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
No misuse of alcohol or other substances.

The employee will:

Coordinate, facilitate & implement Clear Sky Program Tuesdays/Thursdays 5-9pm
Organize & manage sensitive/confidential data collected at Clear Sky (i.e. youth registration, volunteer forms, surveys and other documents)
Strategize and with student input implement various projects, activities, and learning experiences which educate and foster deeper understanding, sensitivity and awareness of Native culture, history, traditions, and contemporary issues pertaining to social, environmental, and educational justice
Promote and recruit volunteers for Clear Sky program at various community events
Coordinate volunteers and supervise mentorship staff each week
Report (within 24 hours) any and all complaints, suggestions and feedback from parents, youth, volunteers and community with UNEA Chair and Administrative Assistant
Attend monthly UNEA BOD meetings and submit report with data (attendance, volunteers etc.) and review of monthly programming and activities
Assist with marketing, and advertising via monthly newsletters, up to date website, social media (e.g. Facebook) and other outlets as opportunities arise
Secure and coordinate the use of facilities for Clear Sky Programs with the UNEA Chair and Administrative Assistant (e.g. Nathan Hale High School, and other facilities, as needed)
Comply with UNEA Policies/Procedures
Other duties as assigned.

HOURS: Tuesday/Thursday evenings 5:00-8:45 pm and some weekends and weekdays (up to 15 hours per week). January 2018 through June 2018, and prospect to stay another year with good results at the end of the spring.

Job Type: Part-time

Salary: $20.00 /hour
